Eastport Pram Question

For anyone who built the Eastport Pram (like Peter) - Do you use anything to plug the centerboard slot when rowing instead of sailing? If so, what do you use? I've started on the sailing rig (after talking about it for over a year) and I'm trying to figure out what to do with the new hole in the seat.

Thanks,
Jack

According to an article I read one doesn't need to make a watertight plug to stop the water, all that's needed is to interupt the flow. So I built a "dummy" daggerboard that slips into the slot and extends down to the level of the hull bottom, with a strip attached to fill the bottom of the slot as much as possible without jamming. Works like a charm, and keeps one's butt dry when rowing. It would probably need a retainer pin if you were towing.

Hope this helps,
