East coast boat travel

Never done it myself but lots of people routinely travel from New England to Florida and the Bahamas every year to avoid winter
Long distance
Lots have done this, and many much more often and farther than I have. But I have done Long Island Sound to central Fla. and New York City down the coast and over to New Orleans area. First trip in an Almand 31, second time in a Seidelman 37.

I have travelled from Annapolis to Bermuda on a 44' sailboat (~600NM), and Annapolis to Newport by way of George's bank and the hook of Maine. I delivered my Pearson from Ft Lauderdale to Solomons in 2008 (~600NM).
I've also done a number of cruises circumnavigating the Delaware/Maryland/ Virginia (Delmarva) Peninsula (~400NM).

I have made 2 trips. First many years ago from Marathon Key,Florida to Sag Harbor NY in a CSY 44. The second was in my present boat when I bought it. Sailed from Havre de Grace Maryland down the Delaware River,then in the ocean and up the Hudson,through Champlain Canal into Lake Champlain and up to Plattsburgh NY.
Not sure why you're asking. Millions have done long cruises up & down the coast, many do it yearly.

If you Google "Great Loop" you'll find many who have done the circle route up the ICW and down the Mississippi.
