I am have having a hard time raising the rudders when changing from sailing motoring (returning to the slip). Has someone come up with a bracket to add some leverage?
You can get a 2:1 mechanical advantage by attaching a small block to your rudder(s) and running the raising line through it with one end of the raising line tied off high on the stern. When you pull the other end it will take half as much effort to raise the rudder.
