This is not a new idea but thought you might enjoy pictures. We had trouble launching our oday 25. Had to go to deep in the water. We added a five foot extension.

Ill let you know how it works. I dont have very much tongue weight so hopefully works good. Ill take and post pics next time I go
I'm worried that moving the pivot point so far from the hitch will cause issues ie bending. I'm also curious to see how much it's going to affect steering in reverse.

I have a 15 ' extension for mine. It has a ball about a foot from the trailer end. That foot goes into a cradle and the ball goes into the trailer hitch. The extension then has a hitch that connects to the truck ball. The extension stays in line with the trailer. Keeps the truck out of the water! Greg
Rs8684. .. hey. I found a local metal supply shop and told the guy I needed 5 ft of square tubing. I talked him into helping me make it. You could go to any metal shop and they can help you. The whole thing cost me $60.00 for material and labor. It took 3 minutes to weld

Yes I did. Because it is attached to the vehicle I had no problem. Just like normal hitch only longer. Still say go sloooow lol
