Early production Kittiwake

Hello Everyone,
I have acquired a 1966 Kittiwake. I know Kenner is the manufacturer. My question is where do I find a hull number, or identifying information on this boat? Any help or ideas woud be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

HINs became required in 1972.

Regarding hull identification, I am wondering if there was any permanent markings predating HIN's that Kenner applied to the hull. Be it a tag or other means for production information, and if they did where might it be. There is nothing on the transom. When I inquired about the boat I was told take it away or it will be cut up. Couldn't let that happen.

As far as I know, pre-HIN boats may or may not have any markings depending upon the manufacturer. I don't know anything about your specific boat. You may have to go through pretty much every square inch to see if there is some kind of hull marking and you may never find one.
