I have a top loading dual compartment fridge, one side has the fridge ( freezer?) and it will keep food frozen and other side is separated by a plexiglass wall, it will only get down to maybe 47-50 degrees, I would like it colder and am wondering if the plexiglass can be changed somehow to let colder air on right side?

Rod makes a good suggestion.
You could add a "spill over" fan and a thermostat to maintain the refrigerator at a set temperature.
Small digital thermostats are available from Amazon for less than $25, a small 12 V computer fan and you are ready to go.

I cut a three inch hole in the panel rather than shortening it. That allowed colder air to pass through without losing storage space. No fan.
The temp is much lower on the other side now.
The result is excellent. Food that normally would spoil in a week stays cold.

We use wireless outdoor thermometers to monitor the temperature of the freezer and refrigerator.
