I must have a disconnect with my Standard Horizon Eclipse DSC radio. I bought the radio 2 seasons ago and a Garmin GPSMAP 440s at the same time. I have not been successful in getting the GPS to send the lat/log coordinates to the radio so I can use the DSC/Emergency call functions.
Both the GPS and radio work perfectly as stand alone units and I have a MMIS number for the radio registered to the boat. But after many after calls to both Garmin and Standard Horizon I have still been unable to get the two units to talk to each other.
The GPS has 8 data wires (Blue,Green, Brown, Purple,Grey,Yellow,Tan and White) and the Radio not counting the Black and Red power wires has 3 wires for data connections (Blue,Green and Purple).
My question is simple what GPS wires go to the Radio wires. I'm looking for simple instructions like join the Blue GPS wire to the Green radio wire.....
Can anyone be of any help?
