Drying out along a seawall?

I want to change my prop. I would rather not pay for a haul-out but instead dry out on what is called the wooden grid. There is a wall attached to this grid, it is very robust considering it is made for large fishing boats. The only issue I have is the beams on the grid are 8 feet apart. That means I would have to balance the boat on one single beam (railroad tie size). I could put the keel on the Center of Gravity and hope for the best as the tide goes out. Has anybody tried this with their Vega and did it feel tipsy fore or aft?
