Dry Rot Hunter 23

Getting ready to Launch. While cleaning and waxing I just spotted this dry rot in the locker on the port side of the cockpit.I have not dug out yet to completely solid wood, but I don't think it is more that a few inches beyond what is shown in the photo. It is at a screw that holds the deck and the hull together. I would like suggestions on how to fix this. How can I find if there is more damage elsewhere?

I am trying to figure out how to post a picture. Help.
