Dropping the bronze centerboard 1967 Morgan 34

Nice work! Can you explain how the bronze pivot blocks are attached (through the 4 holes) to the keel/hull?

So the blocks rest in the hull that’s cut out to the shape of the blocks you only need to remove the starboard side and the pin can be removed the bolts screw up inside the hull. I had to remove my board completely had to replace cable it was tricky getting it out and the board doesn’t just come straight down you have to slowly drop and move back getting it back in up and forward slowly . I had to build up the bottom fiber glass epoxy from wear it’s really tight in there .

How many decades for the pin to wear like that? They should invent a ceramic bearing system for that.

I’m not sure I’ve owned the boat 2 years it was refitted 20 years ago maybe done then ? Yeah that would make sense some sort of bearing in there guess charley Morgan didn’t think it was needed .
