Another one???

Maybe I'd better upload a permanent article in the Head Mistress Reference Library that explains the cause and cure. Fortunately there's still a thread up in the "recent posts" in the Head Mistress forum, so I don't have to type it all again. Click on the Head Mistress forum on the right side of the home page. Follow the list of recent posts down to the 18th, where you'll find the same problem in a question by "jolie." Click on it and read my reply. If you still have questions, I'll be glad to answer 'em. Btw...while you're there, it wouldn't hurt to read the articles in the Reference Library and any of the other threads that apply to your boat.

I have the same problem

What happens with my boat is water siphons into the bowl when the foward water tank is full and the center tank is empty, creating a bow low or lower than normal in the water situation. To correct the problem I installed a PVC shut off valve in line with the intake to the pump motor. This would work OK except the pump is not suppose to be run dry. Several times since the installation people, including me, have attempted to flush the toilet without opening the valve. A perminate fix (if you have a par 37 series or compatable toilet) is to buy the quiet flush conversion kit from Devender, about $340, and install it with an anti siphon loop and valve, making sure the loop is well above the water line. The flush water motor will need to be installed between the intake through hull and the loop. Hope this helps. Al

No, I have the problem

I have a 1996 Passage, and THIS is your solution: #1 I bet you also have slight smell from the forward head too. #2 I replaced my joker valve and it stopped. #3 SHUT off the MACERATOR intake thru hull #4 POSITIVELY will work #5 Also, the forward head (and only the forward head) leaks when the holding tank is full.
