Dear Tom, Thanks for your letter. The product, which we sell, is the R&D flexible coupling. The R&D coupling incorporates a couple of significant features over the Globe. The first is the use of two banding straps, which help to keep the unit and your couplings together if you sustain an impact to the propeller sufficient enough to crack the coupling in half. (This is what the units are designed to do in order to save the transmission.) The second is that you can align the shaft with the element in place.
