Drive Belt wear on Beta BZ482

In the last three seasons, I have clocked up about one thousand hours on my Beta BZ482. I have found the engine to be very suited to the Vega due to it's power output, fuel economy and weight (only 89 Kgs). The drive belt has lasted the three seasons but it always showed signs of wear. I have noticed the same wearing on other Beta installations too. The problem seems to be caused by to alternator pulleywheal. Is there a Beta owner out there with a solution to the problem.
Incidentally I have found that the Mazda C-414 oil filter is an exact fit for the Beta BZ482 and costs less than 30% of the Beta part price. Has any one found equally cheap Air and Fuel filters ?

Hi Pat

The secret with the belt wear is to contact Beta and ask for a high temperature belt. Thanks on the filter info always happy to pay less for filters.

Kind Regards and hope all is well
