We have been finding drippings of black, gooey sealant material on the countertop in the head of our 1992 C-28. This material is dripping from the thru bolts holding the genoa track. Is there a fix other than pulling up the entire genoa track and rebedding it?

Could be a water leak!

Denny: Is the goo black or dark brown? If it is dark brown it means you have a topside leak. When the water runs through the core material inside the deck it picks up sap or resin from the core wood which makes it into a gooey brown substance. The sealants usually cure to a rubbery consistancy an will not drip after a few hours.
