Check with Hunter

Asuming that you are talking 34 rather than 340, my best suggestion is to email the factory via this web site. They respond very quickly. If you have a 340, so note that as I can help you with that . . . and have put the dripless on my 340. Jim

I think...

I have the same boat and looked it up in the archives... I seem to remember 1 5/8 inches but I would check it.I am planning on putting in the same thing in the next week or two. I have only heard good things so far.

1 5/8" on Mine

Tried to replace the hose a few years ago and found 1 1/2 too small. Barry

Drive Train Noise

I installed a PYI seal on my Hunter 33.5 and now I am getting a noise I never had.I believe the shaft is hitting the stern tube because there the new seal does not support the shaft as well as the old one. The Yanmar engine mounts are flexable and I believe the span between the transmission and cutless bearing needs more support than the PYI seal offers.

Please send details of the job

Am considering the same thing for my 34 -- please send details of what the job is like and how to do it when you finish. Thanks, Bruce
