I was helping a friend to install additional battery on his H280 in the battery compartment under the forward seat. There's a plank glass in (original) for batteries to sit. As I drill the 4mm hole to secure tie-down on port side of the plank, water shot out to about 4"high
Panic!! I shafted a 4mm drill bit back into the hole to stop the leak didn't t realise hull there is so thin and I could drill through to the sea when working on battery support plank.
Now how can I repair this leak?

get a 4mm plastic bolt and nut..coat it with underwater epoxy, stick it through from the outside .. tighten nut inside .. Next time out of water, remove it and clean the hole and fill with epoxy.

Just spoke to another friend of mine and that's exactly what he said. I think you must have told him this before I asked him. Thanks. Will sell this idea to the owner.

laughing.. Got close to doing this myself a couple of times.. had that plan in mind for a while.. use a thick wire poked through from the inside to help the diver locate the hole.
