Hello, Weather is turning cold. I'd like to change the antifreeze in my 18 hp Volvo. Can anyone tell me how to best accomplish this? Thanks to Tom and Bill for the previous help. Tim

Drains

Tim Look on starboard side of engine block behind the starter. You should find a petcock similar to auto radiator. There should be a second drain on coolant supply line at water heater. I use a small hand pump and a length of hose to connect to the engine drain.

Thanks Tom, I've been hitting the refresh for an hour waitng for a reply. Which of the five hoses on the tank would be the right one? I'm sorry to be such a bone head but Saturday is suppose to be in the 20s, I getting nervous. Tim

Water Heater Drain

Tim I changed out the original Seaward heater years ago. If I remember correctly look behind the heater and you will find an in line drain.

Memory Failed

TIM The engine drain from the front is behind the coolant pump. From the back in front of starter. It's very hard to get at. The engine drain is the lowest point in the system. Hope this helps. Mine is a 91 Tall #037
