Does anyone have any experience or suggestions for rigging an asymmetric spinnaker (aka cruising spinnaker or gennaker) on a 170? I have the suggested spinnaker rigging in the Owner's Manual, and more information in the promotional pub that North Sails (dba Cruising Direct) puts out. I think I have an idea, but would like to here from others what they've done, and how it worked.

Use With Stasher

Tom, I have a cruising spinnaker for my H26 and use it with a Stasher - a device which holds the sail in a long. lightweight cloth tube that is hoisted with a halyard and becomes a very simple way to launch and retrive the sail. I purchased my sail thru the Hunter Owners website and UK sails. I think UK buys the "stasher" from a company who specializes in making this device.
