Has anyone noticed a trim problem with the h-30? Water stands in my cockpit and on the forward end of the cockpit seats. I don't have anything at all in the bow except a generally empty waste tank and a spinnaker. I do have heavy ground tackle, but the rode is mostly line. In fact I have probably more weight toward the stern than original with propane tanks, fuel tanks and a rather large bimini.

mine has always held water on the left side near the rear of the cockpit seat. I've considered drilling a hole to drain but I'm concerned that in the winter the hole would fill, freeze, and crack causeing a bigger problem, so i just deal with it, clean it up after a rain, and use the water to wipe up the cockpit of nasties. Then i go below to due my pre-check before sailing while i let the cockpit dry.

Each boat has its own trim. Sometimes when a large component like an engine is replaced, boat trim changes. One guy had to increase weight in the bow because the new engine weighed more than the old. From afar take a look at the water line to see if the boat is trimmed properly. A cockpit can have dips in the seats and deck as time goes on. Mine has water standing in the seat as already mentioned and a dip in the cockpit floor just before the companionway. I too use a deck cloth to clean up the water before getting underway or working on the boat. The boat also holds water inside the tow rail after a rain. As one guy I rented a boat from said when water was spilled on deck, "It's a boat".
