Double Rope Clutch

The keel up rope clutch handle has broken. Can anyone tell me if you can buy just the handle or would I need to purchase a complete new unit. No-one here in Australia seems to sell this particular brand so may have to import.

If it's a Spinlock clutch you should contact the company. My guess is you'll have to replace the whole unit, but I've contacted them in the past by phone and e-mail they were very accommodating.

I would think there is a good chance you can buy just the handle. I have bought new handles for Easylock clutches and I have seen new handles for Spinlocks. What kind is yours?

I have a Spinlock triple clutch on my H26. They are really single units ganged together. I accidentally stepped on an open clutch handle and broke it. I was able to buy just the handle and integral upper cam unit. I bought the parts from Mauri Pro (see link below) in the US, a Spinlock dealer. They were very helpful in determining the exact part needed. Although the clutch is not made anymore, the parts are still available. I think I paid about $30 US for it. (Is this Mark?) BrianW

From the Spinlock website, there seems to be numerous Spinlock dealers in AU. All you have to do is to see if they sell parts. BrianW
