END splice?
Do you have a single line on a drum or a continuous line?Single line furlers generally do not have a need for an END splice. The rope at the drum is knotted or clamped, you might want to end splice the bitter end instead of whipping. If you have a Hood Line Drive or another furler that uses a continuous loop of line, what you want is a constant diameter end for end splice.New England Ropes has a set of instructions for either splice. Hood used a simplified version of the end for end splice, but the NER splice is stronger and works very well in the Hood furlers.
