The rubber dorade vents on my cabin roof are very weathered and look bad. Has anyone repainted or otherwise referbished these vents? I know that I can buy new ones for about $35 each, but I'd rather spend that on other more important needed things. Thanks

Repainted mine 6 years ago
with a spray paint made for rubber. Worked pretty good and lasted in nice shape until last season. Will take them home again this winter and redo.

Krylon makes a spray paint specifically suited for rubber and plastic outdoor furniture etc., I have used it on the while plastic dorade vents. Suggest you clean them and remove any residue first. If the vents are pitted from UV and weather, apply a couple of extra coats, this will help fill in any imperfections.
