All,

I just purchased a boneyard special Cat30 and the 3 piece doors are gone.

Does anyone have a template or dimensions so I can cut new ones?

Not sure why but I can't find the HIN number on the transom to figure out the model year.

I wouldn't rely on measurements posted online as there may have been some variation of the run of these boats.

Your best bet would be to cut some strips of luan plywood about an 1 1/2 - 2 inches wide. Trim one set the length of each side, then strips for the top, bottom and middle. Hot glue them in place to make a template and use template to make your hatch boards.

Teak has gotten pretty expensive so you may want to look at white oak or mahogany for your hatch boards. Don't use red oak as it will warp and rot outdoors.

Thanks for the points. I'll go with the listed measurements and verify with a ruler. Probably use mahogany. 10 coats of Captain's varnish and the red is deep and luxurious.
