Hello - is there a source for door hardware for older Beneteaus? Specifically, I'm looking for the door handle for one of the cabins in my 1989 Oceanis 500. Any help greatly appreciated. - including ideas for sources for second hand stuff. Looks like the one in this picture. Thanks -

I have a 2003 B393 but the door hardware looks pretty much the same. Contact Ward at Beneteau in Marion SC.
You could try http://spareparts.beneteauusa.com. It looks like they have something like it (I searched for "door" under Oceanis 393 since it doesn't look like the still list the 500.)
Deep Blue, whats wrong with your old one? If it appears corroded (like mine do) try washing with vinegar.
What I would likevto ask the folks here is how to get the bloody pins off? The ones that g through the handle and secures it. Mine are so stuck I can't remove them. Afraid to hit with a hammer any more stronger.. :/

If only I had one to fix! it was missing when I purchased the boat. The pin goes straight through? Could it be a set screw with an allen-key slot?
Man, maybe I've owned sailboats for too long because $135 sounds pretty good to me! Assuming that's a match, it's pretty lucky that it's even available.
