Hunter 36 Deale
We are having difficulty with our dog on our Hunter 36. She is medium sized, about 60 pounds. We have been using rubber backed carpets for her which have worked well. Unfortunately, these carpets recently melted in the heat. We don't leave them out regularly nor are they left out overnight on anchor. After several hours of scrubbing all the goo off the cockpit sole we are not so keen on a repeat. Has anyone used any other solution? Jute backed indoor/outdoor carpet that has been bound? She needs the traction especially when we're heeled up.

Thanks.

We have carpet in the cockpit that has snaps. We've never allowed our dogs to go on the deck while we are underway. If he needs to "go" while underway if we are out for several hours, one of us takes him on a leash to the foredeck to do his thing. That has worked for us for years with 3 dogs.
