Does size matter?

How can I be sure that I have the porper prop installed on my 35.5 with the Yanmar 3GM30F engine? In flat seas, I get about 4.5 knots at 3,000 rpms.

Jim: Do you know which prop you have on your boat? Did you check the spec's for prop's for your specific model? How many RPM's does your engine turn at Wide Open Throttle (WOT) under power? How many RPN's does your engine turn at WOT when in neutral? How are you determining your speed (knot meter, GPS, etc)? I think if you get these facts together "SOMEONE" will have an answer. (what do you think?)
