I had my Catalina 25 shrink wrapped for outdoor winter storage in Chicago. Afterward, another owner told me he had heard that this may cause blistering. If you have relevant knowledge or experience, I'd like to hear your opinion. Thanks.
Does schrink wrap cause blisters??? The answer is no. If the wrap job is not ventilated is will cause mold and mildew to form inside the boat. Blisters on the other hand are a result of moisture getting into the laminate and forming pockets of water. This rarely occures above the water line. It is almost always bottom problem and is the reason people apply epoxy to their boats. Just make sure that you have good ventilation on your wrap job and you won't have any problems
