Dear Peggie, I have found that C.U. is great as a general boat wash. It does a great job at cleaning the grime and any stains off the fiberglass. My question is, since it's great at cleaning, will it also strip the wax off?? Some areas I use it full strength on a sponge. Thanks, Roc

All detergents "strip" wax...

...even the mildest dish soap. Wax is oil...detergents emulsify oil. The only difference between them is how well they also remove the dirt and stains you want to remove. The longer any detergent is on the boat, the more wax it's gonna dissolve...so unless you want to strip the boat to re-wax, the best way to preserve wax is to clean only one area at a time and rinse throughly before going on. So the answer to your question is yes...C.U. does strip wax...but so does everything else.
