Saw the movie "Message in a Bottle" last night. In the movie, Kevin Costner stars as a seafaring psuedo-ship builder/maintenance or would be ship builder. The vessel he finally ends up building is gorgeous. The transom is a tiny "wine-glass" shape and the whole boat from stem to stern is varnished. Has anyone seen this movie and does anyone know who built the sloop the character built in the movie? Just gots ta know! Thanks, aya. Erb, Boothbay

ID of Boats in movie
The two sailboats used in the movie were not Friendship Sloops. The black schooner is an Alden Malabar. The sloop at the launching scene is a Concordia. If you search Alden Yachts you probably can find specs etc. Tony
