I just took delivery on my 240 and I'am trying to add the Auto Pilot to the tiller. My tiller drops to its lower position freely so. My bracket configuration is awkward with it all the way down. I tried tightening the bolt to add tension and it barely turned. An inch would probably do it raising the tiller. Any suggestions? I followed the photo's sent in a earlier photo forum for the 240 Auto Pilot Installation. His tiller is definately riding higher. Crank on that nut??? Thanks for any help!!!!

I figured it out!

There is a set screw on the back part of shaft of the tiller near the cleat. It takes a special phillips screw driver but the screw provides the stop and keeps the tiller from dropping to low. Thanks
