On my Hunter 25.5 that I purchased recently I noticed what appears to be a dodger storred aboard. I also notices some lines on either side of the boom that run up the mast for about three feet and down again. I believe these lines must be for the dodger but I do not have any sketch showing how it is installed. Does any one have such a sketch or know where I may get one that would show me how to install the dodger. There are also some cloth sections that another boater told me to around the railing to offer additional protection when anchored.

Lazy Jacks?
Lines running from boom to mast and down sound like part of a "lazy jacks" system used to act as a net allowing to lower the mainsail without having it fall on deck. Single handers like them. I'm personally partial to them as they require the boat to be pointed straight into the wind when raising the main to prevent the battens from getting caught in the lines. The dodger should have a tube frame, enjoy it.
