I need to replace the original dodger on my '90/'91 Vision 32. I am considering a hard dodger. The "chandlery" on this site does not have one, since they only make them for those vessels for which they already have a pattern. We sail in the Seattle, Washington area. Any previous experiece with hard dodgers on Vision 32, or a good dodger manufacturer in the area would be appreciated. Thanks.

Iverson Design

Probably the premier dodger fabricator in the Seattle area has to be Jason Iverson of Iverson's Design. He's done a ton of boats in the Puget Sound region and I *believe* he now does dodgers on all of the new boats from Signature Yachts... Further, he's recently won some international design awards for his dodger designs. Check out a recent edition of 48 degrees North - there should be an article about him in there... The guy is an artisan and last I heard has quite a waiting list, but to get one of the Iverson's dodgers is worth it. Check out his website for pics of the boats he's done and further details. Not only that, but he's the nicest guy you'll ever meet. http://www.iversonsdesign.com I recently moved away from the PS area, but am considering flying him out to the east coast to have him do our vision 32. He's also had booths at the Seattle boat shows at which he's armed with a full dodger mock-up so you can see the quality. They aren't the absolute bottom of the barrel in terms of price, but I would assert that they are the best made dodgers in the country. After looking at the dodger fabricators at the Annapolis boat show and seeing all of the work in the Chesapeake Bay area, I'm convinced you will not find anything better... Give him a call and see what he has to say... matt
