Well actually I finished the dodger and bimini back in Oct./Nov., but have just got around to posting the pictures. Ruth had foot surgery on both feet, so I had to learn more than how to layout and cut material. I got to sew these projects and really enjoyed it even though they took way longer than I thought they would.
The dodger and bimini that came with the boat were shot and beyond use, but at least we had the frames and I could look at them for ideas and patterns in some instances.
I changed the design of the dodger so that you can remove the whole front or the window in it is zippered with 4 pulls so that any one or two areas of it can be opened or it can be unzipped to the point where it will fall inside for better visibility. I also made a ....
...zippered bug screen for the front that can be put on or off or partially unzipped to where it will fall ahead of the dodger if needed.
One of the major changes also was that now the bimini and dodger will come off their frame in minutes as all of the bow pockets are zippered. We will only use the boat part of the year and wanted to be able to put the dodge/bimini on or off the frames quickly.

We have also finished a full cockpit bug enclosure and a sailpack for the main and are now finishing dinghy chaps for the dinghy. I'll get these pictures up when I can. Notice I said 'we' as Ruth was back on the sewing machine for these projects. I still do the design and cutting end, but now also sew more than I did before. While she is waiting on me at times she is making more storage bags in a variety of colors
