Documented Vessel

I recently purchased a 1992 H28. I documented her instead of getting a state registration. I have owned registered boats before and the placement of the registration number and annual sticker are straight forward. Since this is the first documented boat I have owned, I don't know where the Excise Tax sticker gets placed. Is it different for each state? If you have a documented boat, where did you put your sticker? Thanks for any feedback.

I toss mine into the chart table.

They're ugly. Then I beg for forgiveness when the local park rangers can't find it. Works. So far.
