Has anyone documented 290 or similar boat and where did you put the numbers in side of boat.

Nick - Most people get a small piece of wood, use a router to carve in the number, and paint the inside of the number a color that contrasts with the piece of wood (black works well). Then find a place to afix the plaque - the forward bulkhead over the settee works nicely.Where on L.I. do you keep your 290?Gregg

I live in wading river and was going to keep boat in mt. sinai harbor but instead got a slip in aquebogue.

Documentation Number Placement

Another option is to use vinyl stick on numbers and glass them in. My numbers are under the floorboards on the fiberglass at the base of the companionway. I used one layer of glass matting and West epoxy/resin. The numbers show through the matting and are easily shown if needed. This also meets the requirement that the numbers not be removable without defacement.
