I just got a circa 1970-80? 13 ft fiberglass sailboat. one interesting feature is that the mast is stepped in a 1/2 metal housing with nothing more than a nipple at the end of the mast to hold it. this located in lowered, recessed section of the midsection. It has two circular holes about 12'' in diameter in the fore and aft bulkheads which are covered with huge red round plastic "bung" which look like the top of the water buckets seen strapped atop utility trucks to serve liquids to the workers. it has aluminum mast and boom, and no sails to help me idenitify it..
