Do Legends have higher resale values?

Someone asked me if Hunter Legend models have a higher resale value than regular Hunters. I was under the impression that the Legends are just regular Hunters within a certain production span. Can someone help me if I need to know something more? I have had a 34 and now a 380 and never really looked at a Legend model. If there is something different about Legends, what is it? Thanks

You're right

The Legend designation was just a term added to some Hunter models from the late 80's to the late 90's. A couple of the Legend boats were quite popular, specifically the 35.5 and 37.5, which continue to have strong resale value. But, the Legend name does not imply a boat with more features or newer construction (like an LE or mkII). It's just a different model Hunter. However, some owners believe the series to be Hunter's best boats.

John; The reason that Hunter calls thier Models "Legend" Is that in the UK there is a line of boats called 'Hunter'. To help avoid confusion in the British market, "American" Hunter called thier boats "Legend". Now the name seems to stick to all the models sold in the UK and the US. I have even seen some boat sellers describe some of the older boats as "Legend". It's all about marketing. Mac Lindsay, SV 1984 H31 or Legend31 if you prefer
