Do I need this bulkhead? Options...

Hunter 29.5 Chicago
So I have been slowly redoing just about everything on the 1994 29.5 I bought late last season. Everytime I think I am getting to the end of it, something else appears that needs to be done before this can - so on and so on...

So, I have finally come to something that I do not want to "fix" without making sure I am not going to have to do it again.

The boat has pretty extensive rot in the bulkheads under the V-Berth, aft of the stern berth, and the stern lazarettes. Yesterday while checking the exhaust hose, the bulkhead in the stern lazarette basically disintegrated when I touched it. I realized the whole wall is shot, not sure if the boat is seaworthy without it. I was thinking about how aesthetically a replacement of the wood, and glassing it in would be great - but also completely unneccesary given the time involved and the access benefit of not having this bulkhead in place.

Anyway, has anyone ever used screw jacks as cross braces for the hull? I was thinking about glassing in anchor points and then putting in the braces. It works out okay, I would probably do the same with the V-Berth. Any thoughts or opinions on this are appreciated...
