I have a Yanmar 3GMF whose bearing unit on the fresh water pump seared off while running, over heating the engine and the alarm went off and I shut down to discover the pully wheel sitting under the engine. I have not yet taken the pump apart, and I am wondering if I can find just that bearing unit (the pin that goes from the wheel into the pump to the impeller) or do I have to go buy the whole pump. Should I expect other damage to the pump and buy the whole thing anyway. And where would I find these parts? I had noticed that the wheel seemed loose this spring, and foolishly I did nothing about it then.
