My 39 is on the hard. The hull is blistered. I've set up for a peel/grind ASAP. Once peeled and dried the hull will get a new epoxy bottom. Ive used the Interlux interprotect system before with great results. My boat yard offers a winter rate for long term haulouts where three months is cheaper than three weeks at the normal rate. I'm convinced the damage to the hull was in part promoted by the prior owner leaving the bilge filled with water for years. I'm also contemplating removal of all the unused thru hulls. We pulled the engine yesterday. That seems like the simplest upgrade, not replacing, just freshening up. Do we know the breakdown of which vessels had lead keels and which steel?
