DIY Bow Sprit/ Anchor Roller

Been looking at whats out there as far as Bow Anchor Rollers, and the $$$
built this one for under a buck and a half

On a side note, which weatherstripping did you use on your bow hatch?

U prob. guest its alum, who could do it outta stainless for under 150$
It's sport'n a Mantus 13# Lunch Hook, pretty much my main Hook when around the local curz'n grounds

came w/the boat and never leaked yet
looks like a D cell rubber pipeing, pretty much automotive weather stripping

Man.. nice job. I also like that bungie to hold the anchor, I think Ill try something like that. When you first pull the anchor up, that would be an easy way to hold it while you do more permanent securing and also a good way to hold the anchor just before you drop it.

How does that ride on the trailer (assuming you have the trailer with the ladder at the front)?

the starboard under the roller is a nice touch. can we see a larger photo with the bow eye?

that isnt a bunggy cord, it's a dock line, I choke up the anchor to the nylon bumpers under the sprit, over the pulpit, around the 1st cleat, back to the deck cleat...she rides absolutly perfect, no rocking at all

sorry about the rotation, Ive tried for an hour to figure this out, all my pics on my files R fine, its this site thats rotating them, Ive even tried to rotate them on my files b4 downloading, same rotation when they get here

like I said, about a 150 in material, the brkts R S.S. the alum is T6
the only thing welded is the brkt on the cut water for the 2 lower supports, Ive hung 400# on the thing, cant buge it, think Ill use it ti change my mower blades
