I'm trying to understand how the distribution panel on my Beneteau functions. It appears different from those built in the USA. Can anyone shed light on this topic. The positive/negative DC wires are plugged into slots.

My US-built 2006 323 has what it sounds like you have. It's called a WACO block, but I think WHACK-O WOULD BE A BETTER DESCRIPTION. I NEVER HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GET WIRES WHERE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO GO INTO THE SLOTS, SO I ADDED A POS AND NEG BUSS BAR TO CONNECT NEW WIRES TO.

They are called. Wago blocks, and they work well. They are designed to release when depressed with a narrow bladed screwdriver or similar tool.
My experience has been that they provide a secure contact, and they don't loosen when not desired.

I have to admit, the WAGO system has had me stumped because I didnt want to start removing wires and not know how to get them back into their slots, not did I want to start piggy backing on the existing circuits to create a hazard. My original plan was (KISS) to install another fuse block, but I'd like to work with the existing system. I'll go to the link provided, but if anyone has any additional sites or information which would simplify learning how to work with this system so I can get more familiar, I would appreciate the input.

Thanks for the WAGO information, it really clarified how this system works.
