Hi

Thanks for the answer on the diameter of the stern pupit tubing (1 inch).

Now I need to know the approximate distance between the top stern pulpit rail and the rail beneath it. I just need an approximate distance so I can show up at the boat with a piece of tubing long enough( I will cut it to size) to connect two TAKE-APART RAIL FITTING - 90 DEG. TEE 1in (from binnacle supply) . The tube will be placed vertically between the two existing tubes to steady a mount to carry my 2hp Honda OB.
It's a long story but this dimension should help.

Thanks

I did the same on my boat, though used one of the plastic outboard mounts sold by WM. the vertical piece of tubing was between 8" and 9", as I recall, but if you get 12-15" you should have plenty to spare.

Thanks John,

I used the same WM mount.

In an ideal world the weight of the OB should be lower ....but here we are in the real world.
