on a resent trip from Tampa,65 mls due west of Grand Cayman,a stantion gave way and the 37 ft Hunter Legend was dismasted. The mast was tied to port and made Cayman under diesel. Need many parts..is there a place to find salvaged Hunter parts? I have a list of the parts needed.I am in the US the boat and owner are in the Caymans...any helpfull info would be appreciated m

Hunter is not too far

in and there are several places in Tampa, St-Petersburg, Bradenton and Sarasota area that sell used or salvaged parts. Good Luck

Place for Parts

I would contact Sailor's Exchange in St. Augustine, FL. Sinclair(first name) is the owner. I know he is able to get some of the Hunter discontinued parts from Hunter and he might just have what you need. I have done business with them before and find him to be a good quality guy who doesn't overcharge.Mention that Mickey Goodman referred you. He might just go the added yard.

Why would a stancion giving out cause the boat to be dismasted? Did you mean the chainplate?

I just saw a posting of a H26 fella looking for a pre-owned mast. Go look in that hunter section and you will find some responses on salvagers addresses.Jim McCues/v Safe Harbor
