Hello everyone
Trying to figure the best way to manage/make storage on my Pearson 30
Especially with in the galley
I would like to see how you store your dishes

I think galley storage has to be matched to the number of people being fed, A 30' boat is basically the owners and maybe two guests. Four plates Max. Bowls are more useful so maybe six. Cutlery can be eight settings allowing for some cooking utensils. Of course nesting cookware.
So the best system I've seen is the stacking of plates (Melamine) behind the counters behind some wood fids.
You also need room for cups and glasses. But only four to six. Nowadays you prolly need to create a space for Yeti's but there is a variety of footprints for those so some versitality in stowage would be good. Maybe a peg system that can be adjusted?
We loved our Ranger 29 and made good use of the galley. It was useful because it was well laid out and not overly ambitious with regard to the number of people served.
Usually cockpit parties didn't rely solely on our dishes so I don't think you need to carry the whole infrastructure of the celebration.
Use the stemless plastic wine glasses for Pete's sake!

Already on it! Made one of these last week, added side walls and a bungee going from one side to the other to hold more items while sailing, still have 3 of these cubbies behind the settees to figure what to do with them I plan to add storage behind my drop down table as well… it’s a never ending list, but I just don’t want to do everything twice, hence all my questions

It quite finished, still needs to be sanded and varnished, but it does add some nice storage space

Beautiful work!

My only concern would be how to close the top sections. But if you are just coastal cruising it likely won't matter. But if you end up in high wind and waves, the dishes can come out of the top.

Already on top of that, those dishes have a deep lip on the bottom, they are hard to get out, and the orientation is fore and aft, so on the little rice I sail, I fugue everything will be ok, if I do need to add a stopper, it’s an easy job!
