No problem. That is just the dummy plug for the speed log. When you pull the sensor out for cleaning, you install the plug in the hole to stop the water leak. At least, you always know where the plug is located.

Not a bad location...

my knot meter is located under the starboard side forward V-berth...I had to relocate my sling marks because (at the end of last season) they had the slings right over the impeller...no damage though (thank God).

Remove the paddle wheel

I always remove the paddle wheel sensor before the boat is hauled in the fall and put it back in after launch in the spring. The spring-loaded valve on the Raymarine sensor allows only a small amount of water to flow in during the change-out. Mine is also located under the starboard drawer under the V-berth. Winter Dream'n is in the water as of Monday the 7th. First sail this weekend weather willing.

Nothing wrong...... First time I found something on the boat that had all parts present and no wierd modifications. paulj
