Dinghy Davits or Stern Hoist Arrangement

I am currently storing my 8 ft Rib on the front deck, hositing with the jib halyard. It is a little difficult to do this every time we day sail and I am looking for a better arrangement.

Mounted Davits are quite expensive and I have seen some boats with the dinghy cross tied on the stern of their boats without davits. I sail an O'Day 35 and would appreciate any suggestions:dance:

Why not ..

Why not tow it..? You can adjust the position so it surfs the stern wave and barely creates any drag at all. Storing the motor on the boat is much easier than storing a dinghy. Towing a dinghy without motor, when done right, works very well.. Plus davits are for settled weather only and you'll still be storing on deck if it gets rough..
