We have a light-weight inflatable dinghy from West Marine with a small Nissan 3.5 outboard. We would like a transom mounted Davit system to hold the dinghy, outboard, life vests and gas can. We assume the Davit Assembly would store the dinghy below the stainless steel and we would like to also mount a light weight ocean kayak on the top side of the davit assembly. Any ideas, experiences or comments would be appreciated.

Davits on a 34

I installed Ocean Marine davits on my 1983 34 last fall.Installation time was about 2 hours.Instructions are clear and concise. I purchased them at the St. Petrsburg boat show. Delivery was prompt and customer support was great. Installation was very easy. Only a drill and allen keys needed. We have a 10 foot Achillies with a plywood floor and 8 hp outboard hanging on the stern. I reccomend you brace the stern rail with angle supports to the combing to make stern rail more ridgid.I also have a line to the stern ladder and pull it up to help support dingy. This way stern ladder can be used to board boat with dingy up.
