Another question for the forum! I am thinking of installing dinghy davits on my 37.5. The dinghy is a 10' Dux and weighs 128 lbs. I have a 9.9 hp o/b that weighs 85 lbs. Add in another 30 -40 for fuel and gear and we are talking 250 lbs total. I am probably going to buy the Mar Tek 350 which is rated for 350 lbs. Does anyone know if this additional weight off the stern will present me with any significant problems as far as handling the boat. I am already planning to add additional bracing to the stern rails to help support the extra weight. I looked in the archive and it wasn't very helpful related to performance. I am a cruiser not a racer. Thanks.
