tiny leak from fuel tank . All hose clamps ok and yard wants to pull the tank. If I knew it would get no worse, I'd live with it since when I don't totally top off the tank it seems not to leak. Any advice? amr

I wouldn't.

Arthur: I would not just let it leak. Have you checked the hoses (fill, vent and fuel supply) for any cracks? What type of tank do you have (metal or plastic)?

I wouldn't go to the extent of having the yard pull that tank with the information that "when I don't totally top off the tank it seems not to leak." Does your yard have a policy against bringing in other mechanics? If not, I'd get some recommendations and let someone else have a go at it first. This may just be either a fitting or a bad hose, either at the vent or the filler. I would sure try to trouble shoot it first. Seems to me its like having a bypass without having an EKG first.. tank leaking

I have the same boat, check the gasket between the tank and the tank sender unit. You will find it on top of the fuel tank, fill the tank up and then observe if its leaking,it is very easy to replace the gasket, had the same problem.
